Welcome to Oklahoma’s most popular choice for scuba training… Adventure Sports!  It’s here you’ll find both the best way to get scuba certified and the best dive equipment in Oklahoma!  Lest anyone question who has a better scuba program, here are some really great advantages we offer over other dive stores.  First, we designed and built our own local scuba lake, which we use for local certification dives. Second, we’re the only store with an on-site pool, which offers unmatched training benefits.

Our local lake and on-site pool are the reasons why your scuba certification is less expensive, more fun, more convenient, faster, and hassle-free! And we feature the finest lines of high-performance, top quality dive equipment that makes your training easy to master.

Quality gear is important!  With nearly three decades of scuba training experience, we are known for friendly, professional scuba instruction, and we have a perfect record for diving safety. Our training has evolved from training thousands and thousands of divers!  Come join the fun.

We offer an amazing new breakthrough in scuba training that features safe, local diving without costly and time-consuming out-of-town travel!  There has always been a big demand for local training and now we have it available exclusively at Adventure Sports!

Now you can complete your certification dives in our clean, clear, and safe local lake and it’s located less than a 30-minute drive from the store.

With our local scuba lake we simply have the safest and most convenient scuba certification in Oklahoma!

Our ability to certify divers locally makes other scuba programs obsolete because they require costly and time-consuming travel over the entire weekend to complete the mandatory certification dives!

Adventure Sports is the ONLY dive store
in Oklahoma City with an on-site pool

We know from our scuba training experience that you need more pool training than a half-day, four-hour session to thoroughly master the 20 essential scuba skills
to the required mastery level.

That’s why we make available extra pool training

There is no substitute that takes the place of extra pool practice because it builds better skills, and you’ll become a more confident diver.  And we never rush you through practice.  It’s a fact we train more new divers than any store in Oklahoma!

All training agencies require  students to complete at least 4 dives over two different days.  Because of local diving, Adventure Sports can easily get you certified in only four hours over two days, instead of the standard forty-eight hours over an entire weekend.  We do offer weekday checkout dives, too!

There is no certification fee when you choose open water training at Lake Tenkiller, but it does require extra time and a weekend out-of-town.

WHAT IS REQUIRED FROM STUDENTS
 FOR OPEN WATER CHECKOUT DIVES

For training purposes, an open water dive is a dive, during which a student diver spends the majority of time at a depth of at least 15 feet and breathes 50 cu. ft. of compressed air, or remains submerged for at least 20 minutes.  All students are required to make four open water training dives to a minimum depth of 15 feet for 20 minutes for certification.  No more than three training dives can be completed in one day.  SSI requires an extra training diveEach student must complete a briefing, assemble equipment, perform an entry, complete an exit, get debriefed by his instructor, disassemble the scuba equipment, and log the dive.  All skills must be completed to a mastery level to attain the open water dive certification.
